Genevieve Jobes is a visual artist working between Sydney/Cammeraygal and Seattle/Duwamish Lands. She learned to embrace the outdoors  during a childhood spent near ponds at the family farm and an early career on archaeology digs. Often working in the field, Genevieve’s torn edged paintings reveal the feeling of being at the edge of water. Found materials are fabricated into canvases of reflection. Surface and survey, Genevieve’s works document layered, rapidly changing coastal environments.
